The learning here at Springhill Elementary did not end at 3:20 on Monday. In fact, it increased after dinner when our students and families ventured back onto campus for STEAM night! The Museum of Discovery presented their Awesome Science Show, and even our parents were able to participate in fun experiments! Students and families engaged in science, technology, engineering, art, and math through tinkering stations facilitated by Museum employees and Springhill teachers. Exciting digital tools, like Makey Makey, allowed students to create music through coding and circuit engineering. Our teachers were able to explore and build right alongside our students. Mrs. Crymes, our Library Media Specialist, coordinated this special night through a partnership between the Museum of Discovery and our school. The partnership opens up opportunities for our school to bring STEAM education to our students in unique and creative ways throughout the year. Thank you to our families for showing up and standing OUT!
